Our Mission
We at Berea West Senior Primary strive to provide an environment which results in the development of well-balanced children who will be equipped with a sound foundation of necessary skills, confidence, and disciplines to enable them to successfully meet all the academic and social challenges they will encounter in life.
Our Pupils hail from Westville itself, Berea West, Clare Estate, Overport and Parlock. A system of Kombi shuttle services provides transport before and twice after school. The second shuttle service accommodates pupils who have participated in numerous extra-curricular activities such as swimming, athletics, netball, hockey (boys and girls), rugby, cricket, soccer (boys and girls), computers, art, needlework and speech and drama clubs.
Academic excellence and Sport form an integral part of the holistic development of our pupils. The philosophy of our pro-active Governing Body is to ensure quality education through the provision of a modern I.T. Centre, air-conditioned classrooms, and an excellent Resource Centre; using professional coaches for rugby, cricket, hockey, netball, and swimming codes; employing music, art and craft, media science and computer specialists and allowing the dedicated staff to attend workshop, seminars, and curriculum-based refresher courses.
The Close interaction between staff, pupils, Governing Body, parents and leaders in our community has allowed our school to develop into a vibrant, enterprising and happy institution.
