Honeybee Pre-School “A Hive of Activity” located in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal offers a safe and secure environment for children.
Honeybee is a private Pre-school and registered through the Social Service and Education Departments. The educational system we use is geared towards active learning, thus encouraging the children to use their own initiative and think for themselves. Our school curriculum runs in conjunction with the Government School Terms and our age group requirement structure is as per the National Education Departments Government Gazetted.
All our classrooms are air-conditioned with CCTV throughout the school. We offer separate classes for each age group from our babies/toddlers – 2-3year olds – Gr 000 (3–4-year-olds) – Gr00 (4–5-year-olds) – Grade R (5–6-year-olds) and After Care for children from the surrounding Primary Schools. All classes are in a daily routine and program and CAPS is followed in the Grade R class. Music is also included as a weekly lesson as well as Classical Music/Drama for the Grade R class. Our weekly lesson plans include ball skills as well as creative and fantasy play.
The children have a busy year with concerts, sports day, Grade R Graduation, baker day, dress up days, outings and educational shows. The school does provide breakfast (for up the Gr 000 class) and a cooked lunch with pudding for all full day students.
Extra Mural Activities on offer are Swimming, Ballet, Soccer, Abigility Maths and Build em Brix.
We also offer an After Care facility for primary school children within the area. They are collected from the Primary Schools; lunch & pudding is provided, and their homework is supervised.
The school hours are from 6.30am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday and we are open throughout the year except for 3 weeks over the Festive Season.
