It all started with Jenny Greene taking care of an elderly man who admired her unique passion for the elderly. Before he passed, he gave her his blessings to continue caring for the elderly in his home. Jenny put God at the centre of this new business, proclaiming Him the owner; she and her staff were the vessels He could work through, all being surrounded by angles. And so Golden Years Care Centre was established in 2011. Jenny continues to keep God at the centre, seeking His guidance every day.
Eventually they outgrew the 3-bedroom house and Jenny moved to bigger premises. Before long that home was fill so they opened a second branch in Kloof. On the 1st of March 2022, they are celebrating the opening of their third Branch in Hillcrest Park.
Jenny tells us more about their dedicated and loving care they offer, “We believe that interaction is key to a healthy mind, we spend quality time with each resident, walking and talking with them in our beautiful gardens. They enjoy manicures and pedicures and having their hair washed and set once a week.
We encourage them to be active. The meals are well-balanced, with fresh fruit, steamed vegetables and lovely cakes from our kitchen. You can be surrounded by your own belongings, or we will furnish the room for you! Our aim is to keep everyone happy, content and loved so that their golden years can enjoyable and allow the family members to have peace of mind.”
